Wobzip - Excellent utility to unzip your compressed files online

How many times you are faced with a situation like this - You download a compressed file only to find out that the PC you are using doesn't have WinRar installed on it.

The above is just one case. There are so many other formats of compressed files which require specific applications to be installed.

There is a simple solution to such problems - Wobzip. It supports 7z, ZIP, GZIP, BZIP2, TAR, RAR, CAB, ISO, ARJ, LZHCHM, Z, CPIO, RPM, DEB and NSIS formats.

Logon to www.wobzip.org. Click on Choose File. Locate your file on the disk and click the wobzip! button. You can also uncompress a file from an URL.

The file is uploaded to their server for uncompression. Each file is encoded with a hash, which they say will assure that they don't open, view or distribute your files.

After the uncompression, the list of files is displayed and you can save the files by click on the filenames.

There is a limit on the filesize. The maximum filesize for a file is 100MB.

So, the next time you want to uncompress a file and the required software is not installed/available, you know where to go!
